Mr. William Earl Crocker, 84, of Inman S.C. passed away Saturday March 14 2026 at his residence. Leaving behind his beloved wife Ruth sharing sixty two and a half years of marriage. Earl was a 1959 graduate of Lockhart High School and a graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College and Northern Arizona University. He was inducted into the Union County High School Hall of Fame in 2010 after 39 years of teaching and coaching having taught in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and South Carolina. Outside of work he loved fishing, hunting, playing slow pitch softball, watching the Atlanta Braves and Cleveland Indians/Guardians and most of all spending time making memories with his cherished family. In addition to his wife Ruth he is survived by his son Daniel (Jennifer), and a daughter Darla. He was the proud grandfather to Cayla (Aaron), Nicholas (Kayla), Lauren (CJ), Jordan (Kaitlyn), Sierra, Hayden, AJ, Braxtan, Brandan and Braydan and loving great grandfather to Rylan, Fallon, Brittian, Hadleigh, Krew, TJ, Anniston, Knox, Levi, Olivia and Emmerson. He is also survived by a sister Agnes Moore of Chester, four nieces and one nephew. He was predeceased by his parents Lewis and Lona Loveday Crocker, two brothers Carl and Doyle Crocker and a sister-in-law Faye. Funeral services will be held Thursday March 19 2026 at 3pm at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Scott officiating. The family will recieve friends from 1-3pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lockhart Cemetery. Pallbearers include his six grandsons Aaron, Nicholas, AJ, Braxtan, Brandan, Braydan and honorary pallbearer Timothy Collins. The family will be at the home, 2190 Compton Bridge Road Inman SC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to SRMC Hospice, regionalfoundation.com. Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory has charge of the arrangements.
