Obituary
Trudy Billings (nee Barber), age 78 passed away peacefully after a brief illness on June 19th, 2023, at her home in Union, South Carolina. Mrs. Billings was the daughter of B.W. & Effie Lee Barber and was predeceased by her husband, Mac O. Billings in 2004. Surviving family members are her son Mac O. Billings, Jr (Dale), along with “surrogate sons” Skee Nichols, Foster Jordan, Hugh Dillard, and Tommy Genoble, Daughter in-law Candace Billings, and grandchildren Jordan M. Billings, and Jacob W. Billings. Brothers and sisters are Donna Kitchens, Linda Ward, Deborah Beck, David Barber, and Bruce Barber.Mrs. Billings was also a Barber by Profession; as such, she maintained sharp shears, sharp wit, as well as a sharp tongue; if you knew her, then you know. At her request, Mrs. Billings will be cremated, there will be no public ceremony. Donations in her name can be made to the Union County Animal Shelter, the SPCA, or the Humane Society.
