Thomas "Rusty" Russell Smith Jr.

Thomas Russell " Rusty" Smith Jr., 41, of 207 Spruce Street Union died Friday November 18 2022 at his home. Rusty was born July 10 1981 a son of Mrs. Angela Collins Vaughan (Jim Vaughan) of Union and the late Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Russell Smith Sr.. He was a graduate of Union High School class of 1999, had attended USC Union and was a graduate of Spartanburg Community College. Rusty was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his mother and  step father Jim Vaughan, are a sister Nikki Robinson and husband Trad, nephews Westley Robinson and Jacob Robinson, a special aunt Kathy Allison and husband Joey, two step brothers Monty Vaughan and wife Crystal, Michael Vaughan and wife Trish, a uncle Joe Smith two aunts Lisa Chapman and husband Charles, Beth Justice and husband Todd, a special cousin Alyssa Allison Dehart and a number of great aunts cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Alfred E. Smith and Elizabeth M. Smith and his maternal grandparents James Marvin Collins and Anne Whiting Collins. Memorial services were held Monday November 21 2022 at 11am at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
