Mr. Thomas Michael “Mike” Nave, 73, husband of Donna Sizemore Nave, of Union, passed away peacefully at his home on March 27, 2026.
Born on February 8, 1953, in Union, he was the son of Grace Gregory Nave and the late Ivey Thomas Nave. Mike was a proud graduate of Union High School and dedicated over 40 years of service to Carlisle Finishing before his retirement.
Following his retirement, Mike found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He spent much of his time tending to his yard and garden, appreciating the quiet beauty of nature—especially the frogs along his creek. He also loved cooking and could often be found in the kitchen preparing meals for those he loved. Mike cherished the companionship of his beloved canine friend, Pepper Sue, who recently preceded him in death.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mike is survived by his children, Benji Nave, Michael Nave, and Chris Nave; his stepdaughter, Susan Jett (Robby); his sister, Jennifer Nave “Sissy” (Chip); and a special granddaughter, Catherine “Cat” Nave, whom he helped raise. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In honoring Mike’s wishes, no services will be held.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice for the compassion and care shown to Mike during his final days.
