Sylvia Ann Ames

Ms. Sylvia Ann Ames, 82, of 222 Oakdale Avenue, Carlisle SC, passed away on Friday, November 28, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Ms. Ames was born September 21, 1943 to the late Henry Suydam and Mable Edwards Suydam Hubbard. Surviving are two daughters Pamela Edwards and Bari Lynn Whitley (Dexter), one son, Marc Edwards (Danielle), two brothers Henry Suydam, Randy Suydam (Christina), one sister Vicki Yancis, five grandchildren the late Thomas Edwards Weston, Cheryl Edwards, Marc Edwards, II, Davis Edwards, and Collin Edwards, two great-grandchildren Thomas Weston and Micah Weston, Life Partner, William T “Bill” Sams, and friend, Linda Faye Johnson. Memorial Services will be held Saturday December 13 2025 at 2pm at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel. Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory has charge of the arrangements.
