Scottie Brenard Washington

Scottie Brenard Washington, 50 of Gaffney, South Carolina departed this earthly life on January 7, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. He was born November 17, 1972 and was the son of the late Denorris Washington Sr and Ruby Lee Thomas Washington.

Scottie was a beloved brother, friend, and role model as a father. He attended Union County Schools. Scottie loved hunting and fishing and traveling to the mountains In his spare time. He was currently employed at Milliken Cedar Hill Plant. Scottie was always the life of every party and his warm smile and funny jokes will always be missed.

Even though they were not married, Scottie shared a special relationship with Tracy Wray for over a period of 32 years. He played a role in helping her raise 5 children and he absolutely adored them all from the youngest to the oldest: Akeem, Shawmund, Sadi, Ronquisha and Markia Wray.

We are among those who know that one never recovers from the loss of one deeply loved just as Scottie was. We come to accept the death through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and through Him, we survive.
