Roger L Davis

Mr. Roger L. Davis, 78, husband to the late Mrs. Brenda B. Davis of 212 Lee Cemetery Road Union passed away Monday February 17 2025 at his home. Mr. Davis was born November 16 1946 a son of the late L.D and Fannie Brannon Davis. Roger and Brenda were married for 54 wonderful years. He was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church of Whitmire where he loved his church family. Some of his favorite memories included camping with his family especially at the lake, and doing projects for the church with wood and metal where he helped build the church and fellowship building along with many other things. Surviving are one son Rodney Davis and his wife Crystal of Union, four grandchildren Chase Davis of Union, Caitlin Sanders and husband Josh of Easley, and Kason and Brynlee Lyda, one sister Bonita Alexander, three brothers Dennis Davis of the home and Otis and Paul Davis of Union and a niece Tosha Lyda and her husband Scott. He was predeceased by two brothers Charles and Bruce Davis and five sisters Aggie Phillips, Lottie Stoner, Bonnie Bramlett, Rebecca Turner and Evelyne Parham. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 22 2025 at 3pm at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Kenny Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Whitmire Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-3pm at the church prior to the service. The family is at the home. A special thanks to Traditions Health for their love and caring for Roger during his illness. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Pine Ridge Baptist Church. Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory has charge of the arrangements.
