Randy Canupp Obituary

Randy Harold Canupp age 64 husband of Dorothy Candice Canupp, of 206 Barnado Rd Union passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025. Mr. Canupp was born in Union, September 14, 1960, a son of the late William Canupp and Patricia Hewitt Canupp.

Mr. Canupp was a retired sergeant of Union Public Safety Department. Sgt. Canupp dedicated 30 years of his life to protecting and serving his hometown. Known for his integrity, compassion, and unwavering dedication, he also worked part-time as a dispatcher at Union County 911 and as a butcher.

Above all, Randy was a family man. He loved his family fiercely and unconditionally, and nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his loved ones. He was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father, and a loyal friend to many. His faithful dog which he loved dearly, Bella, was always by his side.

He held deep respect and admiration for those he served alongside, especially former Chief Sam White and current Chief Robbie McGee, whose leadership and friendship meant a great deal to him throughout his life and career.

Surviving in addition to his wife is one daughter, Randi Sierra Canupp, one brother, Landy Canupp, two sisters, Wendy Hames (Ronnie) and Cindy Baldwin (Charles).

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who assisted in his care during his time of need. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Canupp's memory to St. Jude Children's Research for Cancer or The Wounded Warrior Project.
