Mr. Michael David Campbell, age 55, husband of Tracie Farr Campbell, of 2320 Mt. Tabor Church Rd, Jonesville went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
Mr. Campbell was born April 11, 1970, in Boone, North Carolina, a son of H. David Campbell and Donna Willis Edwards. He was a graduate of Blue Ridge High School and played baseball for Erskine College. He was a faithful member of Philippi Baptist Church. Mr. Campbell’s pride and joys were his four daughters and three granddaughters. His favorite hobbies were hunting, racing dirt track and doing taxidermy. Mr. Campbell was a beloved coach for the Union County Volleyball Club where he dedicated his time and knowledge of the game to his team.
In addition to his wife, Tracie, Mr. Campbell is survived by his daughters, Mallory Unger (Andy) of Campobello, Taylor Hamby (Baylee) of Greer, and Logan and Bailey Campbell of the home. He is also survived by his granddaughters Ellie, Scarlett and Charlotte, brother Dexter Campbell of Myrtle Beach and sister Kayla Garrett (Dylan) of Blue Ridge and a number of aunts, uncles, and nephews. Mr. Campbell was predeceased by a son Matthew David Campbell.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Philippi Baptist Church from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Philippi Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Robert Scott and Pastor Jamie Vaughn. Pallbearers include Russell Vinson, Jamie Vaughn, Andy Unger, Tommy Bishop, Lee Shropshire, Brad Palmer.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Union County Volleyball Club for the Coach David Campbell Memorial Scholarship at 241 River Road, Union, SC 29279.
The family will be at the home 2320 Mt. Tabor Church Road, Jonesville, SC.
