Mary Fannon Obituary

Mary Jane (Moody) Fannon passed away along her journey across the great United States. She was in Apache Junction AZ on March 14, 2020 when she was called home to be with the Lord. She is survived by her husband James Earl Fannon who was traveling along side her.  They both grew up in Union County SC and lived most of their lives together in Rutherfordton NC. Miss Fannon was born in Union SC on the 15th day of January 1956, she was predeceased by her parents Eva Wade Moody and Robert Lee Moody, as well as, a brother and his wife James Franklin Moody (Joyce Grady Moody). She was a graduate of Union County High School and Isothermal Community College, and a long time member of Adaville Baptist Church Spindale NC and Buffalo United  Methodist Church in Buffalo SC. She retired from Polk County Social Services. 

 

She is survived by her two children. A daughter Susan Elaine Mitchell and Fiancé Troy Legner of Spartanburg SC and a son Jeffrey Lee Fannon and his wife Jessica Beeson Fannon of  Hephzibah GA. She is survived by a brother Robert Stanley  Moody of Union SC. She is also survived by 3 nieces Barbara  Moody Grady, Laura Moody Lovings, and Allison Moody Lemaster. 

 

The memorial service will be held Sunday March 22, 2020 at 3PM at Buffalo United Methodist Church 108 Hill Street Buffalo SC 29321 (Due to the current Corona Virus this gathering will be for Family only.) 

 

Memorials can be made to the Buffalo United Methodist Church Air-conditioning Fund PO Box 176 Buffalo SC 29321.

 

 

The family will be at the home of Susan Mitchell 309 Earl Dr Spartanburg SC 29306
