Marvin B Meadows

Marvin Bernard Meadows, son of Mary Ann Meadows and the late Cordozar Broadus, was born May 5, 1969, in Union, South Carolina. Marvin peacefully passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 54, Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home with his family by his side. 

Marvin was preceded in death by his beloved grandmothers and step-father; Aurelia Meadows, Corrine Broadus, Mary Jane Spears and Walter Spears Jr. 

Marvin Meadows, a proud member of the Union High School class of 1988. He was known for his friendly and outgoing nature, always making others feel welcome with his smile. Marvin participated in various sports, one he grew fond of was wrestling. 

After graduating from Union High School, Marvin went on to working in several manufacturing facilities in the upstate. 

Marvin was often found at the gym, taking long walks at the park and spending time meditating. Marvin loved cooking which brought joy to those around him. His zest for life and positive attitude left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.

Marvin was a devoted family man who cherished his loved ones. He leaves behind his wife, Yolanda P. Meadows whom he shared nine months of marriage and three years together. His sons, Marvin Shundail (Connie) Meadows of Spartanburg, SC, Darius Meadows of Miami, Florida, Ryan Meadows of Anderson, SC and Camile Meadows. Ava Epps is the mother of his children. His grandchildren, Sonovia Meadows, Xavier Meadows and Serenity Meadows. Three bonus children Anna Butts, Victoria Poz and Victor Poz Jr. He was a loving and supportive father to his children, always providing them with guidance, love, and encouragement. 

Marvin also had a close bond with his siblings, Jeffrey (Catina) Spears, Katrena (Lamar) Foster and Angela Spears and they shared many cherished memories together.

Marvin is survived by his beloved nieces and nephews; Jada Farr, Jeffrey “Dre” Spears, Jarell Spears, Kennedy Spears and Brianna Crosby. Marvin will be deeply missed by his extended family, including cherish aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. 

Marvin's sudden departure has left a void in our hearts, but we take solace in the memories and the impact he made during his time with us. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
