Martha (Rochester) Sherfield

Mrs. Martha Rochester Sherfield, 87, of 542 Mudbridge Road Buffalo SC, widow of Mr. George A. Sherfield, died Tuesday August 23 2022 at her home. Mrs. Sherfield was born October 20 1934 a daughter of the late Haskel T. and Ollie Hutcherson Rochester. Mrs. Sherfield, affectionately know as "Maw Maw" to many was a member of West Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Sherfield loved her family, was a great cook and had worked in the textile industry for over 30 years. Survivors include one daughter Ann Donnan (Lee), three sons Robert Mark Sherfield, Larry Reid Sherfield (Dawn), Christopher Shane Sherfield (Nancy), seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was also  predeceased by a grandson Josh Lankford, two brothers and three sisters. A memorial service will be held Friday August 26 2022 at 11am at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny Burgess officiating.
