Marsha Dale Sumner

Mrs. Marsha Dale Sumner, 67 of 201 Sweet Water Drive Buffalo SC, widow of Mr. Pete Sumner died Saturday December 17th 2022 at her home surrounded by her family and friends .Surviving are two sons Bryan Gardin and wife Amber, Jarrad Gardin and wife Stephanie, ten grandchildren CJ Gardin and fiance' Irene, Brittany Henderson and husband Thirdd, Taylor Gardin and boy friend Ricky,  Nathan Gardin and fiance' Jasmine, Tiffany Mosley, Faith Lemmons, Sky Whitlock, Jayden Jennings, Kaylee Lawson, and Chloe Gardin, four great grandchildren Amber Rain Gardin, Ivey Jennings, Kayden Revis, Blakeley Gardin, one sister Rhonda Watkins and husband Bob, a sister-in-law Marcella Coleman, a aunt Joann Lawson and her fur baby Bingo. She was predeceased by a brother Wayne Coleman. Mrs. Sumner was a member of  the Buffalo Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the secretary of the Buffalo Community Center. She had also retired from Her Magisty and Mayco. She was very well known as "Nanny Marsha" from years of working at Union Skate Center. The family would like to say thank you to her very very special friends Sammy Nix and Missy Gibson. Also to the staff of Gentiva Hospice. Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 21 2022 at 2pm at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Thirdd Henderson, RE Gallman, Nathan Gardin, CJ Gardin, Brian Farr, and Larry Jewell. Honorary pallbearers include Harold and Tracy Harris and kids and Charlie Gardin and her former coworkers. The family is at the home. Memorials can be made to Gentiva Hospice, 905 E Main Street Spartanburg SC.
