Ms. Mae Frances Murphy, 86, widow of the late Clarence J. Murphy Sr., of 1414 Sulphur Springs Rd. Jonesville, entered her eternal home Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Valley Falls Terrace, Spartanburg, SC. Ms. Murphy was born December 28, 1935 a daughter of the late Bennie Prysock and Mattie Lee Long Prysock. She was a faithful member and servant of Thompson Chapel Baptist Church. Ms. Murphy was a hard-working, loving, caring, homemaker who loved everyone she met. Survivors include sons Billy Ray Murphy (Monica), Charles Murphy, Rickey Murphy (Teresa), daughters Mae Ruth Murphy, Sally Adamo, Gladys Sims (Frank), sisters Marie Jackson, Willie Mae Mitchell, Vennie Edmonds, brothers Bennie Prysock Jr., Ronald Prysock, Robert Prysock (Doretha), and Grant Prysock (Mary), and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Ms. Murphy was predeceased by a son Clarence Murphy Jr., a sister Rosa Lee Wallace, and brothers Donald Prysock, James William Prysock, and Joe Lewis Prysock. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Thompson Chapel Baptist Church, with Reverend Joe Floyd officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 12:00-5:00 pm at Lewis Funeral home. The family is at the home of Rickey and Teresa Murphy, 1414 Sulphur Springs Rd. Jonesville, SC 29353.
