Lela Jane (Smith) Rodgers

Mrs. Lela Jane Rodgers, 91, of 221 E. Main Street Union, widow of Mr. James W. Rodgers Sr., died Monday September 5 2022 at Union Medical Center. Mrs. Rodgers was born May 3 1931 a daughter of the late John E. and Lugunia Wicker Smith. Survivors include a daughter Gwendolyn Rodgers, three sons James Rodgers Jr., William Rodgers, Thomas Rodgers (Sharon), a sister Annie Bell Rodgers, nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers Jack Smith, Carol Jean smith, Robert Smith, John Smith, Tommy Smith and three sisters Viola Gory Mary Gory and Floree Burris. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 17 2022 at 2pm at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel. Public viewing will be held Friday from 12-6pm. Lewis Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
