Joseph "Joe" McMorris Sr.

Mr. Joseph "Joe" McMorris, 72, husband of Mrs. Betty Joann McMorris of 118 Edna Drive Carlisle passed away Tuesday May 6 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Mr. McMorris was born December 20 1952 a son of Mrs. Ruth Stevens McMorris of Carlisle and the late Mr. Cleophus McMorris. Mr. McMorris was a graduate of Union High School class of 1972. He had worked at Milliken for many years. He was a humble son, husband, father, grandfather great grandfather and friend. He was Caring to everyone and kept a smile on his face would brighten up the day. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two sons Sean Hall, Joseph McMorris Jr., two daughters Shannon Hall, Stacey McMorris, one brother Phillip Lee McMorris, one sister Shirley McMorris Byrd, six grandchildren, Jacksyn McMorris, Keasia Looney, Jasmine Hall, Jessica Hall, KeEryka Clifford, CJ Hall, Mialah Whitmire,  and seven greatgrandchildren, Keshon Kennedy, Kemon Kennedy, Jakeria Kennedy, Kaley Kennedy, Jurnee Hall, Kori Looney, Kros Looney. He was predeceased by two granddaughters Angel Hall and Lacey Kennedy, a brother Melvin McMorris, a sister Lucille Beatty and a nephew Carlos Henderson,. Funeral services will be held Monday May 12 2025 at 2pm at The Pacolet River Baptist Association. Public viewing will be held Sunday May 11 2025 from 1-5pm at the funeral home.  The family will receive friends Thursday thru Sunday from 2-8pm at the home of his son, Sean Hall, 206 Santuc Drive. Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory has charge of the arrangements.
