Mr. John Maston Hall, 83, husband of Mrs. Frances DeHart Hall of 403 Richard Street Union passed away Sunday February 16 2025 at his home. Mr. Hall was born August 11 1941 a son of the late Charles "Maston" Hall and Barbara Hughey Hall West. John and Frances married right out of high school and he was a wonderful and faithful husband for 61 years. Mr. Hall grew up in Union S.C. and worked in sales all of his working years. He loved to fish and walk and eat breakfast especially at Palmetto House with Toney and the guys. He was also a active member at Philippi Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son Hutch Hall and his wife Shannon of Union, three grandchildren Taylor Hall and fiance' Charlie Long, Anna Kate Hall, Emily Hall (Alex Calhoun) all of Union, one sister Barbara Marie Lipscomb of Spartanburg, a nephew Donnie Lunsford and wife Lori and a niece Emily Lunsford all of Union and a special sister-in-law Joyce Ward Hall of Buffalo. He was predeceased by a son Brad Hall, a brother Thomas "Bobby" Hall and a sister Doris Ruth Claytor. Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 18 2025 at 3pm at Philippi Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm at Philippi Baptist Church prior to the service. Pallbearers include Charlie Long, Alex Calhoun, Tony Painter, Donnie Lunsford, Joey Lewis and Scott Lewis. The family would like to thank Philippi Baptist Church and its members for all they did during this time. And a special thanks to Jesse and Velma Bradburn for all the help during the last period of Mr. Halls life. Words cannot express our gratitude for always being there when we needed help. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Frances DeHart Hall of the home,403 Richard Street Union SC 29379 or Philippi Baptist Church, 327 Philippi Church Road Union SC 29379 to offset medical cost.
