Jimmy Charles Trakas

Mr. Jimmy Charles Trakas, 75, husband of Mrs. Ann Dabbs Trakas of 4243 Lockhart Highway, died Thursday January 9th 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Trakas was born August 30th 1944 a son of the late Jim and Vivian Smith Trakas. Mr. Trakas was a Retired Lieutenant with the SC Highway Patrol having served for over 25 years. He was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church were he was a member of the Adult II Sunday School Class and also served as a Board Member for the Union County Senior Citizens Club. Surviving in addition to his wife of over 55 years are two daughters Tiffany Ann Trakas, Brook Trakas Schelble (Joe) all of Columbia, one brother Tony Trakas (Betsy), one sister Janis Trakas Belue (Bill) all of Union, three grandchildren Hayden, Noah, and Griffin Schelble and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday January 25th 2020 at 2pm at Lockhart First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Ed Fallen, Pat Blackwell, Ducky Lawson, Johnny West, Donald Anderson, Jim Williams, Bill Massey. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 190 Lockhart 29364.
