Jerri Leigh Sailors

Jerri Leigh Sailors, 79, of Union, South Carolina, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unconditional love for her family.

Born on April 15, 1947, in Union, South Carolina, Jerri was the daughter of the late Valerie Webber Medford and Arville Ray Medford, whom she lovingly called Dad. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Caroll Gene Sailors, her brothers, Michael Perry and David Joe Keith, and her son-in-law, Michael Murphy.

A 1965 graduate of Union High School, Jerri later graduated as valedictorian from Spartanburg Methodist College. She was the co-owner of Sailors Creek Mobile Home Park and was known for her generous heart, willingness to help anyone in need, and the genuine kindness she showed to everyone she met. She loved traveling, embraced life to the fullest, and treasured time spent with those she loved. Above all, her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family.

She is survived by her children, Ann Murphy; Angela Morris; Paula Gibson; Paul Morris and his wife, Mary Morris; and Kinsleigh Alman and her husband, Shane Alman. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kayla Murphy, Lekay Gibson, Ty Morris, Chip Alman and his fiancée, Carlie Peeler, Kyleigh Alman, and Jace Alman; her beloved great-grandchildren, Kylen Austin, Khloe Austin, Savannah Austin, Sebastian Austin, Trystan Gory, and Teymothy Gory; and her sisters, Linda Carter and Brenda Keith.

She was predeceased by two great grandchildren TJ Morris and Dontrea Austin.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at 12:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home in Union, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lewis Funeral Home or mailed to 1760 Furman L. Fendley Highway, Union, SC. Jerri loved flowers, and every expression of love and support is deeply appreciated by her family.
