Etta Mckanic

Etta Mae McKanic of Union, South Carolina, born August 31st, 1952, peacefully passed away in her sleep, aged 93, at her home in Queens, New York, on June 11, 2025.

Born to Henry McKanic and Olar Sims McKanic, she is survived by her daughter, Janulyn McKanic, her granddaughters Danielle and Dakotah McKanic-Berman; her great grand-children Dwanny Daniel and Daenerys Milan, and her younger sister Margaret. She is predeceased by her siblings Laura, Betty Jean, Minne Lee, Frank, MacCalvin, William, Elson, and Morris.

She will be remembered on Thursday the 26th of June, 2025, at the Maple Ridge Baptist Church, 635 Neal Shoals Rd, Union, South Carolina, 29379, at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please provide donations to the church at Maple Ridge Baptist Church, P.O. Box 336, Union, SC, 29379.
