Elmer L. Taylor Jr. 79 of Mansfield Center, CT passed away on Saturday March 4th, 2023
surrounded by loved ones. Born in Peacham, VT on December 3rd, 1943, he was the son of the late
Elmer L. Taylor Sr and Phyllis Taylor.
He was a pellet mill operator for over 40 years at Central Connecticut Co-op in Manchester, CT.
Hobbies included Fishing, Horseshoes, Gardening, and was involved in the Loyal Order of Moose
and Franco-American Civic Club.
Elmer was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Patricia A. Taylor.
He is survived by his three children: his son Elmer L. Taylor III and his wife Penny of Union, SC,
his son Zachary S. Taylor and his wife Alice of Buffalo, SC and his daughter Barbara L. Tufts and
her husband Dean of North Windham, CT; six grandchildren: Amanda, Alexis, Michelle, Timothy,
Grace, and Vronyka; seven great grandchildren: Aiden, Logan, Joseph, Sophia, Madeleine, Abigail,
and Shiloh.
His siblings include Dorothy Garrett, Bruce Taylor, Ronald Taylor, Muriel Marsh, Harold Taylor
and wife Theresa, Susan Pike and husband Joe, Larry Taylor and wife Susan, Grita Poole and
husband Mike, Homer Taylor, Linda Gordon and husband Jeff, Walter Taylor and wife Gloria,
Dennis Taylor and wife Dawn, Marie Manning and husband David. And many nieces and nephews.
At Elmer’s Request there will be no calling hours or funeral service, a celebration of life will be
held in Connecticut and will be announced at a later date.
