Doris (Vicars) Alexander

Mrs. Doris Vicars Alexander, 88, widow of Mr. Donald E. Alexander Sr. died Tuesday November 27th 2018 at her home. Mrs. Alexander was born April 5th 1930 a daughter of the late Frank and Bobbie Lee Gilliam Vicars. She was a member of Duncan United Methodist Church in Duncan S.C. Survivors include one son Pastor Donald E. Alexander Jr. (Rhonda) of the home, two sisters Knolf Jett Johns of Taylors, Bobbie Chapman (Richard) of Whitmire, and three grandchildren Hyder Funderburk of Moore, Trey Alexander (Regina) of Union, and Shana Peedin (David) of Harrisburg NC. She was predeceased by a daughter Donna Alexander Funderburk and ten brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday November 30th 2018 at 3pm at Duncan United Methodist Church in Duncan SC with Pastor Don Alexander and Reverend Dr. Cliff Vicars officiating. Entombment will follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens in Roebuck S.C.The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8pm at Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory. Pallbearers include Trey Alexander, Hyder Funderburk, Jacob Aste, Jay Alexander, James Keller and Dennis Baker. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Duncan United Methodist Church,139 W. Main St. Duncan SC 29334 or Bogansville United Methodist Church  4052 Buffalo West Springs Hwy.
