Don Houston Hines

Mr. Don Houston Hines, 85 of 216 Hyder Road Union SC, widower of Flo Parks Hines passed away May 13 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mr. Hines was born August 11 1937 a son of the late Houston Hines, and Louise Arthur Hines. Mr.  Hines attended Philippi Baptist Church in Union SC, and also served in the South Carolina National Guard. Mr. Hines was retired from American General Life, and also Napa Auto Parts as a delivery driver. Mr. Hines loved his family as well as his animals dearly. Mr. Hines was an avid sports lover especially the South Carolina Gamecocks. Mr. Hines also had a passion for playing golf where he was a member of the hole in one club at the former River Chase Golf Course. Surviving are one daughter Donise H Eubanks, one sister Gwen Hines Crocker, two grandchildren Jordan Crumpton (Brianna), Morgan L Eubanks, four great grandchildren Liam Peters, Addison Sanders, Maddox Crumpton, and Bradley Vinson. He was predeceased by a son Scotty Hines, and a daughter Jan Hines. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday May 16 2023, at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev Robert Scott, and Rev Brad Goodale. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dennis Cooper, John Parks, Travis Crocker, Trenton Crocker, Gene Vinson, and Bryson Alexander. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the services at the church. The family is at the home 216 Hyder Rd Union, SC 29379.
