Dennis Wayne Solesbee

Dennis Wayne Solesbee, age 69, went home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2026, at his home in Union, SC. He was born March 26, 1956 in Spartanburg, SC, son of the late Odell Lewis Solesbee and Jouette Netherton Solesbee. Dennis loved singing, songwriting, and playing the base and acoustic guitars, banjo and the piano.  He had a long musical career and was respected for his dedication and hard work.  He left a lasting impression on all who knew him.  He was a member of many bands, including: US Male Band, Lightnin' West Band, Carolina Collection, Flatwood Rangers, Eastern Seaboard Band, The Solesbee Brothers and Burning Desires.  Dennis also worked in construction and was passionate about building houses.  He was an avid outdoorsman and his hobbies included fishing, camping and drag racing. He was baptized at and attended Faith Community Church in Union, SC. Dennis is survived by his wife, Donna Wilson Solesbee; stepson, Kyle Nance and wife Jennifer; sisters Samantha Solesbee and Teresa Scruggs and husband Reggie; brother, Lewis Solesbee and wife Brenda; niece Sarah Wilson Nardi and husband Anthony; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Wyatt and husband Darrel.Dennis touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly for his kindness, humor and compassion.  His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. A memorial service is planned for Febuary 7 2026 at 1145 at Faith Community Church located 1113 Thompson Blvd union SC 29379. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 11:45 prior to the service.
