Mrs. Debra Jean Scott, 72 of 2646 Lockhart Highway widow of Mr. David Scott died Monday February 5 2024 at Magnolia Manor in Inman. Mrs. Scott was born January 11 1952 a daughter of the late Riley Sams and Elaine Murphy. She was involved in The Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) while she was able. Survivors include one daughter Andrea Proctor and her husband Jason, one brother Terry Sams, two grandchildren Hayden Meadows and Breana Proctor, a special family friend Joey Meadows, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Diana and David Buckner, and son-in-law Jank Gruver. She was predeceased by a daughter Aleshia Gruver and two brothers Wayne Sams and Jim Sams. Services will be held at a later date.
