Debra Porter

Debra Porter, 59, of 441 Timberlake Rd, Union, SC, entered eternal rest on April 12, 2022, at her home. She was born on February 3, 1963, in Union, SC, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Ike, Jr. and Mittie Ruth Eison Porter and the late Mr. Roger Smith.

She believed in God. She graduated from Jonesville High School in 1981. She was employed as an industrial worker until her health began to decline. She was a caregiver. She had two sister who preceded her in death, Brenda Andrews of Boston, MA, and Demetria Fant of East Point, GA.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: her daughter Shekeila Porter and her son Kenneth Roger Jeter, both of Union, SC; her grandchildren: Amaziah and Elijah Byrd, Keylan, Kenslei, Kyson, and Kensia Jeter, all of Union, SC; her great granddaughter A’nylie Burris of Union, SC; her three sisters: Barbara (Norman) Mitchell, Jennifer Porter of Union, SC, and Gwendolyn (Melvin) Sanders of Jonesville, SC; her brother Michael Porter of Jonesville, SC; her four stepsisters: Melody (Rev. Frankie) Allen of Fountain, CO, Kim Moore of Asheville, NC; Shannon Jefferies of Cornelius, NC, and Catina Hopkins of Union, SC; her stepbrother Norman (Sharon) Harris of Hartford, CT; her aunts: Clara Hames, Joleane and Shirley Smith, all of Jonesville, SC, Brenda (Randy) Smith of Spartanburg, SC, Linda Glenn of Union, SC, of Jonesville, SC; her uncles: Frank Bryant of Spartanburg, SC, James Smith of Baltimore, MD, and Harold Smith of Jonesville, SC; her bonus mom Marilyn Gibson of Union, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday April  16 2022 at 2pm at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit at the home. Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory has charge of the arrangements.
