David "Bubba" Nix

David "Bubba" Nix 59, husband of Sammye Nix, of 240 Sweetwater Drive Buffalo SC died Wednesday May 19 2021. Bubba was born March 14 1962 a son of the late Donald and Frances Barnes Nix. Bubba was employed with Shaw Hardwood Flooring (at Tyger River Correctional). He was an active fireman with Buffalo Fire Department for 38 years and recently a honorary fireman with Buffalo Fire department. Bubba also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter Kelley Nix of the home, a step daughter Misty Osbourne (Chip), a brother Don Ray Nix, a sister Mary Alice Hicks (Joe). Also special great grandchildren Ellie and Charli Painter, with a host of nieces nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 22 2021 at 1pm at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Pal bearers include Brian Gardin, Jarrad Gardin, TJ Callicutt, Michael "Third" Henderson, Bobby Pollander, Ernest Crocker, Walker Smith, CJ Gardin. Honorary pallbearers include Buffalo Firemen and all firefighters.
