Clyde Edwards

Clyde B. Edwards, affectionately known as CB, was born on October 14, 1944. A native of Carlisle SC, he was the husband of the late Marie B. Edwards and son of the late Orlage & Rosa Lee Edwards.
CB accepted Christ as his Savior early in life. He was a member of James Chapel Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee and on the usher board. He was also an Honorary member of Carlisle Christian Fellowship Church. CB was a 1964 graduate of Sims High School and he retired from Spartanburg Regional Transportation Services. After retirement, CB enjoyed cutting grass and spending time with his family.
CB entered his eternal rest on February 12, 2023 at Union Medical Center after a brief illness at home. In addition to his wife and parents, CB was preceded in death by his siblings: Marquis Edwards, Leo Edwards, Connell Johnson, Ollie McConnell, Willis Ray Edwards, Leroy Edwards Sr., Richard Edwards Lonnie Edwards, Robert Edwards, Joyce Edwards Derrick and one grandson Tabarious Hill.
CB leaves to cherish loving memories, five daughters, Kellie Edwards of Carlisle, Alicia(Yavia) Gipson of Prosper TX, Cha'Casity Hill of Carlisle, Keisha Means of Carlisle, and Tina Laymon of Whitmire. Two brothers, Charles Edwards and Johnnie (Clista) Edwards, both of Carlisle, two sisters in law, Josephine Edwards of Carlisle and Susan Edwards of Philadelphia, PA. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren, Skyy, Tj, JaPorcha, Daija, ZaMaria, TeJay, Sarah, Daquan, Kayshaun, and LeeAnn. One great grandson, Legend and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
