Alexander Vera

Mr. Alexander Vera, 61, husband of Mrs. Christina Hodge Vera of 395 Brice Road Roebuck SC died January 1 2022 at his home. Mr. Vera was born April 23 1960 in San Antonio Texas a son of the late Celestina and Edwarda Ramirez Vera. Mr. Vera was a member of Roebuck Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son Sean Anthony Vera, two daughters April Alexandra Vera, Nadia Elizabeth Vera, four brothers Leo Vera, Charles Vera (Wendy), Eddie Vera (Constance), George Vera (Alice), three sisters Alicia Hoffer, Mary Paez (Joe), Stella Vera,  three grandchildren Natalie Martinez, Maya Sanchez, and Solomon Sanchez Jr and a sister-in-law Dawanna Vera. He was predeceased by a brother Anthony Vera and a sister Elizabeth Vera. Alex was a terrific family man who enjoyed life to the fullest. A proud graduate of Wheatley High School in San Antonio Texas, class of 1978. He was a excellent BBQ chef and loved the Texas Brisket. As a accomplished musician Alex loved all kinds of music including Jazz and old school Rock-N-Roll. Alex was a great trumpet player who loved concerts and outdoor venues. He loved all sports and was very competitive and a proud supporter of the San Antonio Spurs. A loving husband, father and brother to all his family and friends, Forever Loved and Forever Missed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
