Albert Dewitt Fore

Albert DeWitt "Major" Fore, 79 formerly of Charleston passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home in Union. Mr. Fore was born in Union, October 26, 1943 and was the son of the late DeWitt Gordon Fore and Marie Haines Fore. He was raised and reared in the home of his grandparents, the late Mr. WS Fore of Union. He graduated  from Union High School and Cecil's Business College and was a former construction worker in Charleston. He is survived by his biological sons, Melvin Fore and his wife Christi and their daughter Taylor and P.J. of Jonesville and Lynn Fore and his wife Amanda and their daughter Alli of Jonesville, His Aunts and Uncle who were more like his siblings., Joe Fore of Jasper, GA, Nina Brooks of Columbia and Grace Wages and husband Joe of Pfafftown, NC. He is predeceased by his infant Dewitt Gordon Fore, III and his daughter Christina Fore, uncle Kelly Fore and Aunts Belle Riley, and Ruth Ciupka. a memorial service will be held at 12:00p.m. on Friday February 3rd, 2023 at Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory, conducted by Dr. Steven Owensby. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a charity of ones choice. The family would like to thank the Nurses, CNA's and staff at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home, and Spartanburg Regional Hospice for their love and care of Mr. Fore.
