Margaret Henderson Obituary

Mrs. Margaret Jeter Henderson, 100, formerly of 471 Joe Walker Road, Union S.C., widow of Mr. Robert Henderson Sr., died Wednesday October 17th 2018 at Mountain View Nursing Center in Spartanburg. Mrs. Henderson was born August 1st 1918 a daughter of the late Frank and Feban Gilliam Jeter. She was a member of Jeter Chapel A.M.E. Church. Survivors include one son Robert E. Henderson Jr., four daughters Barbara Jean Henderson Tucker (Freddie), Betty Jean Johnson, Shirley R. Spears (Walter), Phoebe H. Richard (James), one step brother Marion Byrd, six sisters-in-law, Mary Ruth Jeter, Edna Jeter, Shirley Jeter, Naomi Jeter, Lula P. Johnson, Ruth Henderson, one brother-in-law Charner Henderson, sixteen grandchildren; two grandchildren raised in the home Lisa Henderson and Ronald Henderson, and a host of great and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son James E. Henderson, seven brothers Wilson, Fred, Ernest, William, Henry, Frank and John Allen Jeter, and two grandchildren Cynthia Down Johnson, and Tracy Michelle Henderson. Funeral services will be held Monday October 22nd 2018 at 1pm at Jeter Chapel A.M.E. Church with Pastors Anthony Washington and James Richard officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held Sunday from 2-6pm a the funeral home. The family is at the home, 471 Joe Walker Road, Union S.C.
