David Silvey Obituary

Mr. David Steven "LBD" Silvey, 63, of Spartanburg S.C., passed away Sunday August 19th 2018. Mr. Silvey was born January 4th 1955 a son of the late R.C. and Azalee Silvey. Mr. Silvey was a Member of Una Baptist Church and a former employee of Helena Chemicals. David loved the Lord. He was a substitute minister of many churches in the Upstate area and was always spreading the word of Jesus with friends ,family, church ,and nursing homes.  He enjoyed going to sing at nursing homes, playing his guitar, hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends, talking with his baby sister Norma Jean on the phone, and most of all spending time with his grand daughter and best friend Madison. Survivors include one son Dustin Silvey (Dawn) of Pauline S.C., his baby sister, Norma Jean West of Fairforest S.C., a grandson Hunter Silvey of Spartanburg, two grand daughters Madison Lee Silvey of the home, Haleigh Brooke Silvey of Boiling Springs, a nephew Tim West of Inman, a niece Tonya West Morris (Nick) of Spartanburg, a brother-in-law Tim Wilder, and a life long friend Chopper Suttles. He was predeceased by a son Travis Silvey, and a brother Michael "Mike" Silvey and a life long friend Tammy Silvey. Funeral and interment service will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is at the home, 208 Church Street, Buffalo S.C.  Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory has charge of the arrangements. lewisfuneralhomeofunion.com
