Alice (Owenby) Harris

Mrs. Alice Owenby Harris, 97, widow of Mr. Edward O. Harris, died Friday September 28th 2018 at Heartland Nursing Center. Mrs. Harris was born February 28th 1921 a daughter of the late Grady and Flora Cope Owenby. She was member of Crestview Baptist Church. Surviving are one son Eddie Harris (Joy) of Union, one sister Dorothy Crocker of Buffalo, three grandchildren Christiy Knight (Rod) of Newberry, James Harris Jr. (Andrea) of Columbia, Denver Harris of Union, eight great grandchildren, Tate Knox (Mallire), Jase Knight, Dayton Knight, Kadianne Knight, Morgan Harris, Luke Harris, Rylee Harris, Brooklynn Harris, and three great great grandchildren Kylie Knox, Wesley Tate Knox, and John William Knight. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Sue Bailey, Florence O. Gist, and five brothers, Roy, Johnny, Clarence, Grady and Fred Owenby. Graveside services will be held Monday October 1st 2018 at 11am at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Pastor Josh Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
